The problem
Taking reservations by phone or a basic form means staff time spent on repetitive booking calls, availability that isn't checked in real time, and reminders that only go out if someone remembers to send them — all of which adds friction for the customer and cost for the restaurant.
How it works
A customer messages through a chat channel, and the bot collects party size, date, time, and contact details conversationally rather than through a rigid form — then shows which tables are actually available for that slot, by type (window, booth, or center) rather than booking blind.
Payment, where required, is collected in the same conversation with a receipt sent automatically, and a confirmation plus a reminder ahead of the reservation go out without staff needing to track and send them manually.
Because availability is checked live against existing bookings, the system doesn’t double-book a table that’s already been reserved by someone else in the meantime.
A dashboard gives staff a real-time view of bookings and revenue, and the underlying data can be exported for accounting, rather than reservations only existing in a paper book or a phone log.
